Nido
A play nest
I was asked to join a meeting with a new client to understand the requirements. These people were well planned, came with visual theme and text in mind. They were planning to tap the play school market with their revolutionary techniques. With the colours for visual theme and text ready, my job should have been easy, but it became tougher.

The Picky Client
This was amongst my last projects at my previous agency. I was amongst the last people to be called in for this project. The meeting that I was asked to join was post the rejection of 17-18 logo designs by my agency. I could figure out by the vibes in the room that this would be our last chance.
I headed home early with briefs from this new project. I read the shared briefings a few times over, yet wasn’t able to connect the details to my meeting earlier in the day. The references in the brief were inconsistent. So, I decided to go with the details and ignore the references shared by them. My lesson here was to understand what the client wants and then try to see things from their viewpoint.
Geometric Shapes and Pastel Colours
My new learning was really helpful, now I could vision what the client wanted, it turned out that they wanted a brand identity consistent to interiors of the playschool. I did one rendition of the logo and it was appreciated and was approved with a few tweaks.
The logo is soft on the eyes and it resembles the furniture in the school. Logo is created with colourful strips of paper folded like origami style to spell NIDO. Just like origami, the text and logo turn at 90 and 45 degree angles to form the shapes. The spaced out kerning in the soft neutral grey strapline expresses freedom and open spaces that the parents can expect their children to experience.
A Happy Client
Post the initial ordeal, the client was glad that they chose us to design their brand identity. Post my exit, I was told by my colleagues that we manage their all of their brand campaigns.
