This brief was a very emotional one. It was a deep insight into everyone’s life. We were asked to look deep into ourselves, and present who we are and where have we come from, and more importantly where are we going from here? I think the purpose of this exercise is to firstly introduce ourselves thoroughly with the other members of the course. Secondly, I believe that it gives us an idea what it is to research on a topic that we feel that we already know. There always things about us, our city, or our culture which we feel that we completely own and know, but still sometimes, someone comes out of the blue and makes us realise something that we either didn’t notice or paid little attention to.Anyway, this brief put forward three questions in front of us. So I tried to answer all of them one by one.
Where are you?
I’m in Epsom, United Kingdom. Studying in University for the Creative Arts (UCA). My course is called MA Design, Innovation and Brand Management. Why am I studying design? Because I like design. I’ve been a Graphic Designer for last five years and enjoyed my work very much. Why Innovation? Because, Innovation is something I strive for. Being creative is my ultimate ambition in life. I also love gadgets and new technology. I believe that technology and design when work together, can improve everyone’s life. Why Brand Management? I feel that I’ve spent too much time learning this trade, and now I should take it one step further and master this. I feel that there is decent money in this area.
Where have you come from?
For this I have only one word to say ‘Delhi’. It is a city of heritage. A city of long and rich cultural history. Delhi has seen many cultures, from Mughals to British Colonisation. It has seen many struggles. It has been a home to many artists. Artists from Delhi are known for their taste of sarcasm in their work. Unfortunately, Delhi has been popular for bad reasons recently. Because of the corruption and the recent cases of Rapes and crime against women. I feel that the city is not safe for women. But still, it has been a home to me. I’ve been a Graphic designer for last 5 years here.

I love technology and how it influences our lives in a positive way. I feel that if designers and technology innovators work together, they can create a better world together.
